- Note: Azazel means “the strong one.” So this is a reference to the fallen angel identified with the scapegoat of the Day of Atonement ritual.

And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad. Why hear ye him?
This fellow doth not cast out devils but by the prince of devils.
How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles?
