Brigham Young (1866): "He called upon his servant Joseph Smith, jun., when he was but a boy, to lay the foundation of his kingdom for the last time"

Brigham Young:

He called upon his servant Joseph Smith, jun., when he was but a boy, to lay the foundation of his kingdom for the last time. Why did he call upon Joseph Smith to do it? because he was disposed to do it. Was Joseph Smith the only person on earth who could have done this work? No doubt there were many others who, under the direction of the Lord, could have done that work; but the Lord selected the one that pleased him, and that is sufficient.[1]
