Kimball served as the twelfth President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In ''Star Wars'', Yoda is a warrior known as a "Jedi" who trains other "Jedi" to fight.

While the connection is tempting, there is no good evidence to support the notion that Spencer W. Kimball was the inspiration for Yoda.
