Summary: Following her excellent response to the CES Letter, FAIR asked Sarah Allen to respond in line-by-line fashion to Letter For My Wife. Letter For My Wife is a similar document to the CES Letter but was written in a much more even-keeled tone in order to be more appealing to those who found the tone of the CES Letter too combative and off-putting. Letter For My Wife covers much of the same ground as the CES Letter, with some additional material from the author. Following the procedure used for the CES Letter, FAIR posted Sarah's responses to Letter For My Wife serially on the FAIR Blog and then gathered links to each of those posts here. Sarah got through much of the project before having to abandon it to turn her time to more pressing matters.

Sarah Allen worked in mortgage compliance and was a freelance copyeditor by trade. A voracious reader, she loved studying the Gospel and the history of the restored Church. After watching some of her friends lose their testimonies, she became interested in helping others through their faith crises and began sharing what she learned through her studies. Sarah was affiliated with FAIR from 2021 until, tragically, she passed away on January 12, 2026.
