Fourth Annual FAIR Virtual Conference
Theme: Defending the New Testament in the Latter Days
Dates: October 8-10, 2026
The 2026 FAIR Virtual Conference will focus on the New Testament, with a special emphasis on defending scripture, history, and doctrine in a world of competing narratives. We invite submissions that explore apologetic, historical, theological, or cultural perspectives that help strengthen faith in Jesus Christ and His Church.
Focus areas (include but not limited to):
- Early Christianity, including Patristics and Church Fathers research
- The Great Apostasy
- Textual and historical analysis of New Testament writings
- Apologetic responses to common criticisms of the New Testament
- Contextual studies on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ and the Apostles
- Connections between the New Testament and modern Latter-day Saint teachings
- Practical apologetics for today’s challenges
Submission Guidelines:
- Abstract (200–300 words; max 400) – clearly state the claim, method, and contribution.
- Presenter bio (≤100 words) – include affiliation and 1–2 relevant publications (if any).
- Working title of your presentation.
- Email for correspondence – you’ll receive all updates at this address.
- Follow FAIR’s Style Guide – submissions are required to follow FAIR’s style guide. Click the link below to download the guide.
Timeline:
- Abstracts – Submitted by February 28, 2026
- Acceptance – Accepted authors will be notified by March 14, 2026
- Review Draft – Submitted by May 31, 2026
- Presenters and Authors identified and notified – June 20, 2026
- Final Draft – Submitted by August 31, 2026.
Biographies, head shots and signed legal release due at that time. Note that papers that do not follow FAIR’s Style Guide will not be accepted.
Art Contest
FAIR is hosting an art contest in 2026 for pieces inspired by the New Testament, early Christianity, the Great Apostasy, and the early Church Fathers. We’re looking for your original artwork featuring the Savior or other notable figures or events from the Bible and the early Apostolic Church. Winning pieces will be featured on book covers, advertisements, social media posts, posters, and prints, and other merchandise. Runners up will be featured on posters, prints, and social media posts. We can’t wait to see what you come up with. Be creative, and have fun!
