Master Template List

This page lists all templates created on the FAIR Wiki.

Editing Templates

These templates provide short cuts for editing, replacing oft-used text, etc.

General editing templates

  • Template:Draft
  • Template:editme - add link to edit a given list/template
  • Template:EditorLinks - pink box on right of log-in screen for speedy editor use
  • Template:Nf - "needs formatting" label for FAIR editors. Content OK, refs need clean up, etc.
  • Template:Nl - "needs links" label for FAIR editors; marks references that likely have on-line sources, but haven't been linked. Click "what links here" on this template to see all areas that need links added in.
  • Template:Nw - "needs work" label for FAIR editors
  • Template:Parabreak - used for triple-asterisk breaks between quoted paragraphs
  • Template:Question - used when article comes from FAIR list question
  • Template:Summary - labels a page as basically an index or link page to more detailed sub-pages.

Note:Use this at the top of templates to insert a small tag for editors to click if they wish to edit the template list. The URL should be the page address that appears when one clicks "edit" the page which the link should edit. (One is essentially using the link to jump to the page in 'edit' mode.)

Example of its use: Template:ArticleMasterLists (For this example page, the url is http://www.fairwiki.org/index.php?title=Template:ArticleMasterLists&action=edit)

Reference Templates

This templates allow frequently-cited works to be included with short cuts. This allows all referenecs to be identical, include off-site links, use standard forms, etc. Changes to references can be made in one spot, instead of hundreds.
