I haven’t read your article yet, some strain on my eyes doing the missionary work and I have had to cut back some on my extra reading. This was a great interview though. You gave many significant insights. Thank you for sharing something so personal, yet much needed. It went well and you did great sharing your ideas and feelings. It sounds like there are many who relate to your experience and seem glad that you have put that out there. It looks like it will open many doors and windows. Congratulations

The subject of inactive members needs to be at the fore front of all Stakes and Wards. All kinds of assumptions are made about inactives and other certain types of members which is wrong.

Being inactive myself it is a sore spot with me at how inactives are treated. At least in our experience we were treated badly as active members and treated worse as inactives. We went to the Stake President about what happened and he was a total jerk like the Bishop and other ward leaders. He and our Bishop were brothers in law so of course we should have expected the shoddy treatment. I wish I had involved law enforcement, which would have been the proper thing to do but I was stupid and listened to my husband, who does not like confrontation….it would have gotten everyone’s attention.

If members would truly live the Gospel they profess to love and live, and be sincere and really care about others and cared about being like Christ, there would not be so many inactives and people leaving the church.
