Recognizing the Worth of Every Soul

In his October 2025 General Conference address, Elder Peter M. Johnson taught that the greatest preparation for Christ’s return is to make our discipleship our highest priority. We do this by ministering “to the one” with compassion, kindness, patience, and love without judgment.

But who is the one? Sometimes it’s the stranger who feels invisible, like the Samaritan woman at the well. Sometimes it’s a family member carrying private wounds. A New First Presidency: Called by Revelation

What This Means

Upon the passing of a prophet, the First Presidency is dissolved. The senior Apostle—currently Dallin H. Oaks—is called as President. Two Apostles are chosen by revelation to serve with him as counselors, forming the First Presidency.

This sacred reorganization ensures continuity, divine direction, and stability in the leadership of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

President Nelson’s Legacy: Gathering Israel through Christ

As prophet from 2018–2025, President Russell M. Nelson spoke again and again of the great work of gathering Israel on both sides of the veil. He taught that revelation, temples, repentance, and discipleship all converge in one grand purpose: binding God’s children to Jesus Christ through sacred covenants.

In truth, President Nelson testified that gathering Israel is the most important work on earth today, because it is how we prepare individuals and families to meet the Savior with joy.
