Consider Conference

Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints look forward to the General Conferences of the church as a time to hear the word of God and listen to His servants as they share messages they have been guided to share. Over the course of the five sessions of Conference, members often feel inspired by the talks, music and spiritual promptings they receive. It’s an amazing experience to be in General Conference… but once General Conference is over, how can you keep it with you? How can you let General Conference change you? Alma the Younger said it this way:

“And now behold, I say unto you, my brethren, if ye have experienced a change of heart, and if ye have felt to sing the song of redeeming love, I would ask, can ye feel so now?” (Alma 5:26)

The “Consider Conference” series by FAIR Latter-day Saints is designed to help members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints delve deeper into the messages shared during General Conference. Recognizing that the inspiration and guidance received during these sessions can fade over time, this initiative offers resources to keep the teachings alive in daily life.

Each installment in the series provides an outline of a specific General Conference talk, highlighting:

  • Main Points: Key themes and messages from the talk.
  • Gospel Principles and Doctrines: Insights into the teachings and doctrines discussed.
  • Scriptural References: Citations to scriptures mentioned or related to the talk.
  • Inspiring Words and Phrases: Notable quotes and expressions to ponder.
  • Application Ideas: Suggestions on how to implement the teachings in personal life.

These outlines are crafted to be easily printable for inclusion in study journals or for use in teaching and personal study. For those who prefer digital engagement, the outlines can guide organization within the Gospel Library app, facilitating deeper study and reflection.
